The Environment Research Program aims to promote industry-academia colaboration researchthrough interaction of researcheresfrom universities and Hiroshima Prefectural TechnologyResearchInstitute and engineers from related companies, which have much on-site knowledgeabout wastes. On-site knowledge of engineers aboutproduction and waste helps researchers tounderstand problems tosolve accurately. Basic scientific knowledge of researchers is expectedtoplay an essential role to implement the research and solve theproblems. Environment ResearchProgram also aims to activate theapproach of related companies to reduce wastes and promoterecycling.
